In Portugal there are two things I love - part one
No. 1: coffee! I love coffee, but it has to be strong in taste. Portuguese coffee is just like that. Let me introduce you to one of my favourite ones:
Café Nicola
In the 17th century, an Italian named Nicola opened one of the first cafés of Lisbon and called it "Nicola's Tavern". It started Lisbon's long tradition of the café as a place of literary and political meeting point. After Nicola's death it became "Café Nicola" and kept its tradition and success. It is one of the cafés where the famous Portuguese poet, Fernando Pessoa, wrote a great part of his works. And until today, the café continues to inspire its visitors.
