A little Portuguese soap culture

It's not only of the prettiest, elaborate packaging I have ever seen, but also the most smooth, great smelling soaps I know. May I introduce you to Ach. Brito, a Portuguese soap
brand, and mostly of all, their Claus Porto collections of luxury products.

The story goes back to 1887 when soaps and perfumes were only within reach of the wealthiest social classes and were withdrawn from the Portuguese society's daily life. That's when Claus & Schweder was founded by two Germans settled in Portugal.
Several lines of products were released into the market and gradually, because of their high quality, became part of the habits of the Portuguese. Their popularity was so vast that the company was honored with the visit of the then King of Portugal, D. Manuel II.

Under the crossed fire of the 1st World War the two founders of Claus & Schweder found themselves obliged to run away from Portugal, which led to the closing of the factory in 1914. A few years later, the former manager of the company, a Portuguese citizen named Achilles de Brito, started a new challenge with his brother Afonso. That's when Ach Brito was founded.

Thanks to their experience, to the quality and innovation of the products and to the seducing packages completely innovative at that time, they rapidly conquered the market.

Since then, the success of the brand and its collections grows and it got awarded with
several medals and prices.
